How a build actually runs
Five stages, one point of contact, and a fixed price agreed before stage two.

The brief
You fill in the enquiry form and we come back within one working day with questions: what you sell, who buys it, which jobs you actually want more of, and which competitors keep beating you in search. Ten minutes on the phone if you prefer. No sales script.

Fixed quote and page plan
You get a written quote with the page count, what each page will cover, and the delivery date. The number on that quote is the number you pay. If the scope changes later, we price the change and you approve it first.

Content and structure
You send your logo, photos, prices and service details. We structure the pages around the searches your customers actually make, then write or tighten the copy to fit. If you would rather we wrote it all from scratch, SEO copywriting is £49 a page.

Design, build, review
We build the real site, not a mockup, and send you a private preview link. You review it on your own phone and laptop and send everything you want changed in one go. Starter includes one round of revisions, Business includes two.

Launch and handover
We point your domain, install the SSL certificate, submit the sitemap to Google, and check every form and phone link on a real device. You get the code, any accounts set up in your name, and a short plain-English note on what was done. Then you decide whether you want us to keep looking after it.

Web design questions
How long does a small business website take to build?
A Starter site is live within 5 working days of us having your content. A Business site takes around 10 working days. Professional builds vary with scope and you get a firm timeline in writing with your quote. The most common cause of delay is waiting on photos and text, so we tell you exactly what we need up front.
What do you need from me before you start?
Your logo if you have one, any photos you want used, and a rough idea of your services and prices. Bullet points are fine. If your copy is not written, we can lay out the pages first and write to fit, or you can add SEO copywriting from £49 a page and hand the whole job over.
Do I own the website when it is finished?
Yes. Once the final invoice is paid the site is yours, including the code and the domain if we registered it for you. There is no licence, no lock-in, and nothing to keep paying for. If you ever want to move it somewhere else, the files come with you.
Can I edit the website myself after launch?
Our sites are custom coded for speed, so they are not built around a drag-and-drop editor. That is a deliberate trade: no editor means no bloat and nothing to break. Most clients take a care plan from £29 a month and send changes over instead, which works out faster and cheaper than learning an editor yourself.
What happens to hosting after the included period?
Every build includes hosting to start: 3 months on Starter, 6 on Business, 12 on Professional. After that you either move onto a care plan from £29 a month, which bundles hosting with monitoring, security and content changes, or take hosting on its own at £15 a month or £149 a year. We give you 30 days notice before the included period ends, so nothing is ever switched off without warning and there is no surprise invoice.
I already have a domain. Can you use it?
Yes. We move it across and set it up at no extra cost, and you stay the registered owner throughout. If you do not have a domain yet, the first year is included with every build and renews at the standard rate from £25 a year. If you have lost access to the account yours sits in, we will help you get it back before launch day.
Do you build online shops?
Yes, as a Professional build. E-commerce is built on Shopify so payments, stock, VAT and refunds are handled by a platform designed for it rather than bolted onto a static site. A Shopify subscription starts from £19 a month, paid directly to Shopify, and that is the only recurring cost we cannot remove.
