What data we collect and why

Contact form

When you fill in our contact form, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Any message or information you choose to send us

We use this information to respond to your enquiry. Nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list or sell your data.

The legal basis for processing this data is legitimate interest. You contacted us, so we need your details to reply.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our website. This tool collects data such as:

  • Which pages you visit and how long you spend on them
  • How you arrived at our site (e.g. from a search engine or a link)
  • Your approximate location (country or city level)
  • The type of device and browser you are using

Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information. No personally identifiable information is collected through Analytics. We cannot see your name or contact details from this data.

The legal basis for Analytics is consent. You will be asked for your permission before any Analytics cookies are set on your device. You can withdraw consent at any time by adjusting your cookie preferences.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use the following types:

Essential cookies

These are required for the website to function correctly. They do not track you and cannot be switched off.

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics)

These are only set if you give your consent. They help us understand how our site is being used so we can improve it. You can opt out at any time.

You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

How long we keep your data

Contact form enquiries are kept for as long as is reasonably necessary to respond to and manage your enquiry. If we do not take on your project, we will delete your details within 12 months.

Google Analytics data is retained for 26 months, which is the default retention period set within Google Analytics.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We only share it in the following limited circumstances:

Google LLC (Google Analytics)

When you consent to analytics cookies, data about your visit is shared with Google. Google may process this data on servers outside the UK or EEA. Google participates in the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which provides an appropriate level of protection for your data.

You can read Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Hosting

Our website is hosted via Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process basic technical data (such as IP addresses) as part of delivering the website to your browser. This is standard for any website host.

You can read Cloudflare's privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Cloudflare Workers

When you submit our contact form, the data you enter is processed by a Cloudflare Worker before being delivered to us. This means your name, email address, and message pass through Cloudflare's infrastructure as part of that process. Cloudflare acts as a data processor on our behalf.

Resend

We use Resend to deliver contact form submissions to us by email. When you submit the form, your name, email address, and message are sent through Resend's email infrastructure. Resend acts as a data processor on our behalf and does not use your data for any other purpose.

You can read Resend's privacy policy at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Legal requirements

We may disclose your data if required to do so by law or a court order.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • The right to know what data we hold about you
  • The right to have inaccurate data corrected
  • The right to have your data deleted (in certain circumstances)
  • The right to restrict how we use your data
  • The right to object to how we use your data
  • The right to withdraw consent at any time (where we rely on consent)

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within one month.

Making a complaint

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection.

ICO helpline: 0303 123 1113

We would always prefer to hear from you directly first so we can try to put things right.
