A run club with 124 members and no online presence outside of social media. Now they have a site that loads instantly and brings in over ten enquiries a month.

The situation
Good Vibrations was founded in November 2024 by Zach Kingsbury. The club offers two runs a week from outside Rosso Lounge, 5K, coffee afterwards, everybody welcome. No fee, no minimum pace, no sign up form. Word spread fast and the WhatsApp group grew to 124 members.
All of it lived on Instagram and in Facebook posts to local groups. That reaches people who already follow. It does nothing for the person who moves to Biggleswade, opens Google on a Sunday night and searches for a run club. There was no online presence outside of social media. Nothing that explained the times, the meeting point, the distance or how to join.
We run with GV. So we offered to fix that.
What we built
Six pages: Home, About, Gallery, Testimonials, Community and Contact.
A home page that answers the questions
Anyone thinking about turning up for the first time has the same worries. Am I fast enough. Where do I go. How far is it. Does it cost anything. The home page answers all four, directly under the page hero. Times, location with a directions link and distance.
A community section that shows the real club
This was the part that mattered most. Good Vibrations is a social club that happens to run. There's coffee at Rosso Lounge on Monday evenings and Surfin Cafe on Friday mornings. There's a book club Heidi organises at Saddle & Spoke. There's the Rosso quiz night, open mic at the Bigg Theatre, hikes, and race days all over the place.
None of that showed up on an Instagram grid. Now each one has its own card with the times, the venue and the tone of the club intact. People arrive expecting a running club and leave understanding it's a group of friends.
A gallery that does the selling
Photos convince people more than any paragraph we could write. Every image opens in a lightbox, loads fast and shows real members on real runs. It's the fastest way for someone to picture themselves there.
Testimonials in members' own words
Existing members explaining why they turned up and why they stayed. Far more persuasive than the club describing itself.
A contact form that reaches Zach directly
Enquiries land straight in his inbox. No portal to log into, no spam, no forwarding chain. Ten came through in the last 30 days alone.
Under the bonnet
Custom coded HTML, CSS and JavaScript. No WordPress, no page builder, no plugins to update or break. Hosting is included, with no licence fees or plugin subscriptions stacked on top. For a free community club with no budget, that was the whole point.
Fonts are self hosted. Images are converted to WebP and sized properly so nothing shifts as the page loads. The lightbox is written from scratch rather than pulled in from a library. Nothing loads from a third party, so nothing outside the site can slow it down or take it offline.
The club already had a logo, so we built the colour scheme around it rather than starting from scratch.

Four straight hundreds on Google PageSpeed Insights. Ten enquiries through the form in the last 30 days. Same scores on a phone as on a laptop, which is where most people find the club.
What Zach says
Josh created a masterpiece of a website for my run club — Good Vibrations Run & Coffee club. It has accelerated our member base and made things so much easier! Couldn't recommend more. Legend.
